Consultancy

This is relatively easy to explain.

If you think you could usefully transfer some of our Oomph experience into your business, then we're usually happy to offer it on a consulting basis. As long as we don't lose our people for too long - we need to maintain our independence - it often makes sense to try a small slice of Oomph at first and see if you like it.

We've been involved in structuring E-Business departments, assessing technology and infrastructure, advising on media strategy and running brand workshops. Some of these have ended up with us doing further work in a more traditional agency way, but many don't because the one-off advice is all that's needed.

In all cases, we would make sure you had a clearly defined objective for the piece of consultancy and knew exactly what you'd be receiving at the end. We're pretty strong on process without being overbearing and we understand some of the issues that have to be dealt with sensitively in corporate life. We've even been known to wear suits on occasion.

If it's really heavy duty consultancy you're looking for in the medium term, then we know just the people you need. There's Value Engineers who are brand consultants within the Cello Group, and also The Berkeley Partnership, specialists in reengineering and IT related projects. Serious stuff. But they don't behave or charge like the Big 5.
