Stephen started his travails in the Bermuda outpost of Cable & Wireless developing systems on 1980’s whizzy technology. Back in Blighty he joined new Telco Mercury Communications, and ran the consumer database. After qualifying as a personal fitness trainer he popped up at RM specialist Brann in Cirencester working on Compuserve, P&O Cruises, Eastern Energy, Barnardo's & Alliance and Leicester as Planning Director

Following the early-ish droves into the Internet as MD of Syzygy, he helped them through pan-European growth, a successful IPO and effective navigation of the boom-bust-consolidation period to 2005 with Mercedes Benz, Boots, Disney, Mazda and Telewest.

It was then he decided to set up oomph with Rodger Williams, an amalgamation of planning, creative and media turning into a multi-channel advertising agency. Over the years this has morphed into an entrepreneurial specialist in technology driven marketing for growth companies. Living strategy and accessible expertise in the global web 2.0 world are what drives the work.

Fortunately the son has inherited better footballing skills than the father so he has fun coaching the juniors. He still manages to keep up waterskiing but not triathlons and has a single personal target from oomph in that it will some day afford him the time and money for season tickets with Jack for St. James Park. (That’s Newcastle, not Exeter).
